Former Mauritanian minister released on bail

A Nouakchott court released former Mauritanian cabinet minister Isselmou Ould Abdel Kader on bail Wednesday (December 17th), Journal Tahalil reported. He was arrested on October 21st on charges of having "defamed and calumniously condemned the army" during a televised debate. Ould Abdel Kader served as a minister two times between 1984 and 2005.
