Representatives of the African Union (AU), the EU, the UN, the International Francophone Organisation (OIF), the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Arab League (AL), arrived in Nouakchott on Saturday (December 6th) for meetings with Mauritanian junta leader General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and deposed President Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdellahi, local and international press reported. The visit precedes a December 12th meeting in Brussels at which a decision will be made as to whether international organisations would continue the dialogue with the ruling junta or else impose sanctions.
