FAF targets Algerian clubs' debt crisis

08/11/2009

Any Algerian football clubs that failed to properly pay player salaries or bonuses will be barred from recruiting talent during the winter mercato, Tout sur l'Algerie reported on Friday (November 6th). The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) on Thursday also agreed to create a monitoring agency to oversee club finances. Under another new FAF measure, the financial viability of a club will determine eligibility for D1 (Nedjma) and D2 championship competition.
