Chamakh threatens Arsenal exit

14/12/2011

Moroccan international and Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh may leave the Premiership club if he stays on the bench, Ahram Online reported on Tuesday (December 13th). The player, who started just one game since the beginning of the season, hinted at a move during the summer mercato.

"I am 27. I need to play. I cannot stay like this forever. If I played more, of course I would have more confidence and score more goals," Chamakh told a French TV station on Monday.

Chamakh's "short-term goal is the African Cup of Nations with Morocco", his agent Pierre Frelot told Sud-Ouest in response to the transfer rumours.
