Morocco faces 'dramatic' climate change risk, World Bank says

Morocco is one of six African countries set to share $1.1 billion in World Bank grants and loans aimed at developing renewable energies, MAP reported on Saturday (November 6th). Algeria, along with Egypt, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zambia and South Africa, face "dramatic risks in potential loss of land, life and livelihoods as a result of climate change", the bank announced last week on the sidelines of a UN climate change conference in Barcelona.
