Slavery practices persist in Mauritania despite their formal abolition in 2007, UN Special Rapporteur Gulnara Shahinian said at a press conference in Nouakchott on Tuesday (November 3rd), ANI reported. The mission's findings will be presented to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in 2010.
