Morocco unveils $9 billion solar energy project

Morocco launched a $9 billion solar energy project on Monday (November 2nd) in Ouarzazate, MAP and international press reported. King Mohamed VI and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is in Morocco for the 6th Forum for the Future, attended the opening ceremony. According to Finance Minister Salaheddine Mezouar, the project includes five solar power plants in different regions. It will be financed by both state and private capital.
