Terrorists free Algerian hotelier

An Algerian businessman kidnapped late last week by some 20 terrorists was released unharmed late Sunday night in Tizi-Ouzou, Tout sur l'Algerie reported on Monday (November 2nd). The assailants, said to be members of al-Qaeda's El-Ansar brigade, contacted the Tigzirt imam to arrange the release of the Baflesine Hotel owner. According to local sources, the kidnap victim's neighbours carried him home on their shoulders to celebrate his safe return. No ransom was paid, sources said.
