Kadhafi: AU should include Caribbean nations

Libyan leader and current AU chairman Moamer Kadhafi on Wednesday (July 1st) said Caribbean countries should join the African Union since they are "considered to be African countries", AFP reported. Addressing the 13th African Union Summit of Heads of State in Sirte, Libya, Kadhafi expressed his desire to strengthen ties between Africa and the Caribbean. Representatives of seven Caribbean countries attended the summit as observers.
