Amazigh Film Festival opens with Palestinian movie

The 9th edition of the National Amazigh Film Festival in Sidi Bel-Abbes (440km west of Algiers) opened Sunday (January 11th) with a Palestinian film, to show support for the people of Gaza, local press reported. Filmmakers and personalities participating in the event include Azouz Beggag, Ahmed Bedjaoui, Kamel Hamadi, Lounis Aït Menguellet, Safy Boutella and Toufik Fares. Some 19 films will be screened through January 15th as part of the official competition.
