Earthquake hits near Algiers

An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was registered on Sunday (January 11th) about 40 km south of Algiers, local and international press reported. The epicentre was located 3 km southwest of Larbaâ. There was no immediate information on casualties or the extent of property damage.
