Algerian convicted of "millenium bombing" plot faces re-sentencing

Algerian-born Ahmed Ressam, convicted in 2005 of plotting to bomb Los Angeles International Airport around January 1st, 2000, will be re-sentenced December 3rd in Seattle, international reported on Tuesday (October 14th). Ressam was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the failed "millennium bomb" plot after he was caught in 1999 while driving off a ferry from British Columbia with explosives in his rental car. Ressam has appealed the sentence.
