International companies vie for Tunisian phosphate tender

A number of Brazilian, Chinese, English and Australian companies have presented bids for exploration of the phosphate field in Sra Ouertane, in the Tunisian governorate of Le Kef, TAP reported on Friday (October 10th). It is the biggest field in Tunisia, with gross reserves estimated at 10 billion tonnes and with an expected annual production of 20 million tonnes.
