Mauritanian opposition decries post-coup financial sanctions

Mauritanian political parties opposed to the August 6th military coup held a press conference on Thursday (August 28th) to welcome international support for restoring constitutional order while denouncing sanctions imposed on the country, APA reported. Boidiel Ould Houmeid, vice-chairman of the former ruling PNDD-ADIL party, said financial sanctions already imposed by the World Bank, the US, the EU, and France will have a negative impact on the living conditions of the Mauritanian people.
