Tunisian sentenced for sending fighters to Lebanon

Maammar Jendoubi, 24, was sentenced by a Tunisian court to two years in prison for helping around 10 young Tunisian militants become members of the Fatah al-Islam terrorist group in Lebanon, his lawyer Ben Amor announced on Wednesday (August 6th). Jendoubi was handed over to the Tunisian authorities in October 2007 from Libya, where he was arrested. Previously, he was living in Germany.
