Sonatrach signs liquid gas export deals with US companies

Algeria's Sonatrach has signed agreements with Occidental Petroleum and two other companies to transport liquefied natural gas to the US, APS reported on Thursday (July 3rd). Speaking on Wednesday (July 3rd) at the World Petroleum Congress in Madrid, Sonatrach CEO Mohamed Meziane said that the state-run company is interested in entering US gas markets, predicting that "by 2012, at least one third of Sonatrach's LNG capacity will be dedicated to the Atlantic basin".
