04/07/2008

Algerian Electricity and Gas Company Sonelgaz and Morocco's National Electricity Office signed two agreements on Thursday (July 3rd) for electric power transit, APS reported. The initiative will reportedly consolidate Maghreb-European electricity marketing and transit and reinforce Moroccan-Algerian relations in the field. The deals were signed on the margins of a Maghreb energy ministers' meeting in Algiers by Sonelgaz’s CEO Noureddine Bouterfa and ONE’s Director General Younes Maamar, in the presence of Energy Minister Chakib Khelil and his Moroccan counterpart Amina Benkhadra.
