US president commends Algeria's anti-terror efforts

In a message to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on the occasion of Algeria's Independence Day on July 5th, US President George Bush said that Algeria is a "true ally" in the fight against terrorism and has a "tremendous potential," APS reports. "The United States of America considers Algeria as a key partner today and tomorrow," the message said.
