Algeria, Egypt discuss possible play-off site

2009-10-20

Egyptian football officials rejected FAF chief Mohamed Raouraoua's suggestion that Algeria and Egypt hold their possible qualifier play-off in North Africa, Goal.com reported on Monday (October 19th). "FIFA need to determine the venue of that decisive match before our upcoming qualifier," Egypt Football Association president Samir Zaher said. To qualify for the World Cup finals, Group C leaders Algeria need to win, draw or lose by just one goal in Cairo on November 14th. If second-place Egypt beat the Greens by a two-goal margin, however, a play-off game will be required to determine the group winners.

Our hearts are with Algeria. Sincerely, I hope with all of my heart that Algeria will qualify. As such, we will have a country of the Maghreb representing us in the World Cup.

I am Algerian and I have one thing to say about the evening of 12 October 2009: Long live Israel! Long live Israel 1000 times over! We invite these people like brothers and we are received as bastards! At least in Israel we would have surely been better received. Long live Israel! God and the holy books hate the gang of pharaohs.

God willing, Algeria will go to the World Cup. Salam alikum, brothers in Algeria. Long live the land of Algeria, in geographic terms. First of all, I'm Moroccan. As with other Moroccans in Morocco, I am waiting for the play-off game in Sudan so that we can quench our anger by supporting the brotherly Algerian team. Our hearts were beating when its players were moving on the pitch. We were very sad when the second goal was scored. Everyone was beating tables and breaking glasses of tea and coffee, and bottles of soft drinks. This is the real image of the Moroccan fans during the game. I hope that Rabeh Saadane will adopt a good strategy to beat the Egyptian team and teach them an unforgettable lesson from the Greens of the Arab Maghreb. May God assist you, Greens of Saadane. Our hearts pray for you. So go ahead. We are people who either win or die. Don't come back to Houari Boumediene only with a qualification ticket in your hand. Salam alikum.
