Morocco club honours former sports stars

2009-09-17

Morocco plans to create a club for the country's sports legends, Sports Minister Moncef Belkhayat said Wednesday (September 16th) in Rabat. Several Moroccan champions, including Hicham El Guerrouj, Nezha Bidouane, Khalid Rahilou and former international footballer Salaheddine Bassir, were on hand for the announcement. The club will celebrate the athletes' "sporting glory" and provide the former stars with social and medical care, the minister said.
