Olympic champion Ramzi tests positive for banned product

Morocco-born runner Rashid Ramzi tested positive in a "B" sample for banned blood-boosting drug CERA, the Bahraini Athletics Federation announced Thursday (July 9th). Ramzi, a citizen of Bahrain since 2002, won Bahrain's first-ever Olympic gold medal in the men's 1500m event at the Beijing Olympics. He now faces a suspension, a ban from the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the loss of his medal.
