Cancelled Togo training camp may give edge to Morocco
2009-06-19
As Morocco prepare to host Togo for an African/World Cup combined qualifier Saturday in Rabat, one thing favours the Atlas Lions: the Sparrow Hawks did not get a chance to hold their scheduled training camp, Goal.com reported on Thursday (June 18th). The Accra camp was "mysteriously cancelled" over what one player told the press were "small problems with the coach". While an inadequately-prepared foe might just give Morocco a much-needed win, the Atlas Lions reported Thursday that success in Rabat depends on whether coach Roger Lemerre sets up a strong offense.
