Africa Race enters Mauritania

Africa Race participants begin the longest stage of the rally on Tuesday (January 6th) between Laayoune in Morocco and Bou Lanouar in Mauritania, a total distance of 899km. On Monday, the rally resumed after a day of resting in Agadir. Drivers got lost, a Russian crew's truck broke down and a French motorcyclist crashed and had to be evacuated to a hospital. Meanwhile, leading driver Jean Louis Schlesser and motorcyclist José Manuel Pellicer had another successful day.
