Moroccan runners win 5th Zagora Extreme Marathon

Moroccan runners dominated a record field of international athletes at a marathon held in their home country on Wednesday (December 31st), MAP reported. Hammou Moudouji and Didi Touda won the men's and women's events of the 5th Zagora Extreme Marathon. Event director Lahcen Ahansal, a 10-time winner of the Marathon des Sables, said the 755 athletes from Algeria, Italy, Canada, Finland and other nations competing in the Zagora marathon had the opportunity to discover the natural beauty and potential of the region.
