French duo in BMW lead Africa Race

Jean Louis Schlesser and Arnaud Debron are leading the Africa Race car group after the 691km first stage between Nador and Boutnib Tuesday (December 30th) in Morocco. The French-Moroccan team of Francois Lethier and Renaud Pellen finished second. Spaniard Juan Manuel Pellicer came in first in the motorbikes, while Hungarians Miklos Kovacs, Peter Czegledi and Tamas Toth won the first stage in the trucks. On Wednesday, the 588-km second stage will take the participants to Ouarzazate, where they will celebrate New Year's Eve.
