Morocco beats Libya in CHAN qualifier

Morocco defeated Libya 3-1 Saturday (November 29th) in Rabat during the last qualification round of CHAN 2009, the first-ever African Nations' Championship for local football clubs. Star FAR Rabat striker Mustapha Allaoui scored two goals for the Atlas Lions before Mohamed Madihi confirmed their win with another goal in the 85th minute. The return game is set for December 12th in Tripoli. The winner of the two-leg series will qualify for CHAN 2009, beginning February 22nd in Cote d'Ivoire.
