Mellouli wins Swimming World Cup event in Berlin

Olympic gold medallist Oussama Mellouli won the 400m freestyle at the FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup Saturday (November 15th) in Berlin, the sporting press reported. The Germany leg, which runs through Sunday, is the 7th and final for the circuit. After the 6th leg in Stockholm, Mellouli was seventh in the World Cup ranking with a total of 45 points. In related news, Mellouli will be among the eight swimmers representing Tunisia in the 9th African Championships, scheduled for December 1st-7th in Johannesburg, South Africa, TAP reported on Sunday (November 16th).
