Ernie Els wins Hassan II Golf trophy

South African Ernie Els won Morocco's longest-running sports event, the 36th Hassan II Golf Trophy, Sunday (November 9th) in Rabat, MAP reported. After 4 days of competition, the current world top-ten player carded a five-under 68 for a total of 17 under par to finish two strokes ahead of England's Simon Dyson and Sweden’s Johan Edfors at 275. Moroccan golfer Younes El Hassani finished fifteenth. In a parallel ladies' event Saturday, Laura Davies won the 15th Lalla Meryem Cup. The British golfer finished with 206, 13 under par While in Morocco, winner Els has been scouting locations for potential golf courses and real estate projects, World Golf reported.
