"World City Chase" comes to Morocco

2008-11-06

Morocco will host a leg of international adventure competition World City Chase on November 6th, MAP reported on Wednesday (November 5th). In a type of adrenaline-charged treasure hunt, 2-person teams from Morocco, Singapore, Hong Kong, Portugal, France, Spain, Canada, the USA, Ireland, England, Australia and Italy must find hidden items and perform challenges across Marrakesh. "Since the goal of the game is to surprise our participants, we are unable to disclose what is on the course, but it will be great," organiser Martin Paquette said.

Morocco will be represented by 10-time Marathon des Sables winner Lahcen Ahansal and Hafida Hdoubane, the country's first female mountain guide. The City Chase will be broadcast on the National Geographic Adventure channel to more than 100 million viewers in over 150 countries, MAP noted.
