Legendary coach to carry Moroccan Olympic flag

The flag bearer for the Moroccan delegation at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games will be Abdelkader Kada, the coach to world mile and 1500m record-holder Hicham El Guerrouj, MAP reported on Thursday (August 6th). Morocco's Olympic Committee chief Noureddine Benabdenbi said the choice of a coach to carry the flag instead of an athlete comes from a desire to "rehabilitate and encourage" Moroccan sports technicians.
