Hi, I am very proud of this line-up and, even though the number of participants seems weak to me, I hope that they are going to bring us some good results. Good luck!

There is no doubt, support and unlimited support. We remember that Britain was ranked eighth in Sydney Olympics 2000. The British government discussed the causes for such a backward rank in their opinion. They concluded that they should make a support of 250 million pounds (the equivalent of about a billion and half a billion riyals). In 2004, it got the fourth rank. This approach was adopted by Russia to qualify its champions to Beijing 2008. It has allocated half a billion dollars to cover the preparations of its champions since 2005 and even for Beijing 2008. The preparation of an Olympic champion equals the costs of a team. We wish success to Arab participants to get medals, improve and break qualification records as did the Algerian champion Soraya Haddad who took the ninth rank in Athens 2004 and got a bronze medal in Beijing 2008. This reflects an improvement and progress. We wish success to all the participating Arab champions.

YES, A SILVER MEDAL IN JUDO WAS A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT BY BENIKHLEF BUT I, AS AN ALGERIAN EXPATRIATE, WAS EVEN PROUDER OF HIS BEHAVIOR: HE WAS HUMBLE IN VICTORY, GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT AND VERY SPORTSMANLIKE DURING THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT. A REAL JUDOKA!!! AS FOR SORAYA HADDAD, A WARRIOR, WHAT A GREAT ROLE MODEL ( I WAS MAKING MY 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WATCH WHAT A REAL ALGERIAN WOMAN WAS ALL ABOUT) AND A CLASS ACT. THESE TWO ATHLETE EMBODIED WHAT THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT IS SUPPOSED TO BE, I HOPE THAT YOUNG PEOPLE WILL WATCH AND TAKE THESE LESSONS TO HEART.
