Moroccan international Safri signs with Qatari club

Moroccan midfielder and English club Southampton captain Youssef Safri will move to the Qatar Sports Club, the BBC reported on Monday (July 7th). "Youssef did very well for us and we would like to have kept him. However, he requested to be allowed to play in the Gulf and we did not want to stand in his way," his former club chairman Rupert Lowe said. Safri, 31, is now finalising the details around his three-year deal with the Qatari team.
