ES Setif threatens to withdraw from ACL
2008-04-20
ES Setif president Abdelmalek Serrar threatened to withdraw the club from the Arab Champions League (ACL) due to what he called "unfair treatment" on Friday (April 18th) by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF). He reportedly sent faxes from Cairo saying the team would not be able to return from Egypt in time to play JS Kabylie, but FAF chief Ali Malek refused to postpone the match. The local game was not played.
