Algeria's Kebbab finishes fifth in 100m freestyle final in Manchester

Algerian swimmer Nabil Kebbab finished fifth in the 100m freestyle final on Sunday (April 13th) in the 9th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), held in Manchester, England. Kebbab clocked 47.60, improving his time in the semis. Italian Filippo Magnini won the event. El Khabar quoted national technical manager Samia Benmeghssoula as saying, "Kebbab's performance is very encouraging as his final timing makes me optimistic to see him doing a good job in the Olympic Games in Beijing next August."
