Maghreb teams disappoint in Confederation Cup qualifiers

Mouloudia Algiers was defeated, 3-0, by Nigeria's Kwara United on Sunday (March 4th) in Kwara, in the first leg of African Confederation Cup qualifiers. Tunisia's EGS Gafsa also lost, 3-2, in a match with Sierra Leone's Port Authority in Freetown. Dao Bakary and Hamdi Jabnoun scored for the Tunisian team. HUSSA Agadir match with Senegal's US Gorée in Dakar ended in a scoreless draw.

Unrest in Guinea forced the postponement of Tunisia's CS Sfaxien match against Guinea's Satellite in Conakry. (El Moudjahid, Le Quotidien, Le Matin, BBC)
