Algeria and Tunisia win 2008 CAN qualifiers on Saturday

Algeria defeated Gambia 1-0 in a 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Algiers on Saturday (October 7th). Karim Ziani scored in the 75th minute on a penalty kick. Gambia played with only ten footballers after the 30th-minute expulsion of one of its defenders.
Tunisia beat Sudan 1-0 at home. Richard Justin scored in the 78th minute. On Sunday, Libya takes on Democratic the Republic of Congo at home, while Burundi will host Mauritania. (FAF, Babnet, CAF)
