Tunisian national volleyball team beats France

The Tunisian national volleyball team defeated France 3-1 on Tuesday (20 June) in the first match of a Tunis tournament with Italy, France Venezuela and Tunisia. The tournament, which will run through Saturday, is part of Tunisia's preparation for the 2006 World Championship to be held in November in Japan. Tunisian coach Jacob Antonio is reportedly confident that his team's participation will be successful, despite the absence of Noureddine Hfaïedh, Chaker Ghzal and Tarek Sammari. (La Presse)
