Tunisian coach Roger Lemerre said at a press conference on Tuesday (20 June) in Schweinfurt that his players would be stronger in the World Cup Group H decider against Ukraine. Midfielder Mehdi Nafti also voiced optimism.

"We have scored three goals in two games. It's not bad. We need the same again for Ukraine," Nafti said.

"For 70 minutes, we did everything right. The last 20 minutes were fatal for our concentration," Lemerre commented about Tunisia's loss to Spain.

"Against the Saudis, we let ourselves down with lapses of concentration. With Spain, they tired us out. It was more physical," Nafti said.

Tunisia needs to beat Ukraine in Berlin on Friday (23 June) to stand a chance of progressing to the second round of the World Cup. (Reuters)

tunisie en force Posted 2007-03-05

I think Tunisia played good and has great players. It is a pity that it lost against Spain, it could have done better. Well, at least it could make it so far, it is a good country.
