Raja, Wydad Casablanca to play matches behind closed doors
2006-05-30
Raja and Wydad Casablanca will play their final two matches of the 2005-06 Moroccan first-division (GNFE-1) championship at the Prince Moulay Abdallah sport complex in Rabat behind close doors, the Moroccan Royal Football Federation announced on Monday (29 May). The decision was in response to vandalism and violence by fans during the last games played at Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca and "the negative images, immoral and anti-sportsmanship" that results from them, according to a federation statement.
