Moroccan athletes donate to IAAF humanitarian project

Morocco's Hicham El Guerrouj and Nezha Bidouane are among the top world athletes whose sporting kits will be auctioned starting 16 January 2006 as part of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) humanitarian project, "Athletics for a Better World: The IAAF Stars' Donation Fund". Personal memorabilia will be auctioned from 56 track and field athletes, including 23 who have broken world records. The proceeds will be distributed to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, UNICEF and the World Food Programme. Other participating athletes are Jamaica's Asafa Powell, Mozambique's Maria Mutola, Denmark's Wilson Kipketer, France's Marie José Perec and Americans Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson.
