USM Alger clinched the Algerian Division I football championship three days before the end of the 2004-2005 season. The team convincingly beat USM Blida 4-1 on Thursday (26 May) at Omar Hamadi stadium in Bologhine. The Algiers club is at the top of the standings with 61 points, 10 points ahead of JS Kabylie.
