Tunisia Finishes Fourth in the World Handball Championship

Tunisia finished fourth at the 19th World Handball Championship by losing 26-25 against France in Sunday's match. It is the best result a Tunisian team achieved in world handball competition. Spain gained its first World Championship title by beating defending champion Croatia 40-34. A total of 24 teams took part at the world championship which wrapped up in Tunis on Sunday (6 February).
