Violence at Algerian Football Stadiums

A series of violent incidents rocked Algerian football stadiums in the past week. In Ben Aknoun, home of Etoile Sportive, many bystanders were injured in a riot. Police arrested scores of spectators and are currently developing stadium security to ensure that all football matches remain safe. In addition, an inter-ministerial committee is looking into better riot containment strategies. (albawaba.com)
