we currently lack all the funding, we have what is necessary, especially the will
The Annaba Youth Sports Association recently established a co-ed jujitsu section. The section is the first of its kind in Algeria. Programme technical director Abdelhamid Bahloul said jujitsu is largely ignored in Algeria despite its popularity among youth. "Although we currently lack all the funding, we have what is necessary, especially the will," Bahloul said. The Annaba Sports Association hopes other organizations around the country will follow their lead. Association chairman Abdelhak Berrebi hopes the youth will soon be able to participate in regional competitions. (El Watan)
