Rabat Match Ends in Draw

Some 70,000 fans attended a match in Rabat between the Wydad and Raja clubs on Sunday (5 December). The match, which ended 1-1, was held at Casablanca's Mohammed V Stadium.
Wydad (dubbed "The Reds") took the lead five minutes after the kick-off through a header by Mustapha Talha from the corner arc. Defending champions Raja hit back three minutes later with a goal from Nabil Mesloub. Wydad left winger Youssef Mariana was sent off in the 63rd minute after he brought down Raja's Mustapha Bidoudane just outside the penalty area. (albawaba.com)
