Moroccan Footballer Chemmakh Wooed by Ajax

Dutch team Ajax Amsterdam recently offered 12m euros to French club Bordeaux to obtain Moroccan football player Marouane Chemmakh. In addition to Ajax, several other European and French clubs courted the Moroccan, including Manchester United, Paris SG and Olympic of Marseille. Chemmakh earns a little more than 6,000 euros monthly -- considered a low salary for a player of his calibre. The contract binding Chemmakh to Bordeaux was recently extended to 2009. (Annoukhba)
