Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali expressed his hope the next World Summit on the Information Society, slated for 16-18 November 2005 in his country, will be instrumental in creating digital parity between countries.
"We hope this summit will offer an excellent opportunity to establish a practical plan for the reduction of the digital divide between the industrialized nations and the developing countries, and to accord new information and communication technologies all due care and attention," Ben Ali said. Tunisia is rapidly increasing Internet access for its citizens. (albawaba.com)
