The Moroccan Minister delegate in charge of Economic and General Affairs, Rachid Talbi Alami, announced on Monday (22 November) that Moroccan Internet subscribers reached three million. Speaking at the ongoing Arab-African follow-up Conference of the World Summit on the Information Society, Alami said Morocco is encouraging greater Internet access by two means. First, by reducing costs, and second, by increasing flow by installing Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Lines, a new technology that allows more data to be sent over existing copper telephone lines.
