Morocco Develops Artificial Heart

The director of Rabat University Hospital, renowned cardiologist Wajih Maazouzi, announced Thursday (18 November) that after six years of research and development, he and his team have developed Morocco’s first artificial heart. Nine years ago, Maazouzi succeeded in completing the first heart transplant in Morocco. His efforts give hope to the approximately 100 Moroccans in need of a new heart. (albawaba.com)
