Morocco Hosts North African Humid Zones Meeting
2004-11-18
The North African Humid Zones Network launched discussions Tuesday (16 November) in Rabat to prioritise major issues facing the Maghreb area's wetlands. The discussions aim to create a work proposal for the 1996 Mediterranean Wetlands strategy initiative involving Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. A viable compromise between economic development and wetlands protection is also a goal of the discussions. (Le Matin)
